Feel nauseous due to crazed, adrenaline-stuffed state and refuse to eat anything other than tea
Put on awesome new dress and pace around apartment
Head over to conference room two hours early to prepare everything, practice, pace nervously, gag in anticipation
Buy cookies with which to ply your thesis committee, and write out their thank you notes

Like I just told my friend, my confidence is at an all-time low (due to a combination of factors, but mainly because of job rejections and imminent thesis-defending) and the only thing that keeps me going is listening to copious amounts of Kanye and Nicki.

I wrote 10,000 words over the course of the last two days.
I wrote 41,907 words in March (i.e, my entire thesis).
I like approximately 75% of what I wrote.
80% of my final recommendations are crappy.
I want to celebrate being done with just my draft by drinking 100% of the beers and eating 100% of the ice cream.

The Hunger Games ... Thoughts on the movie
- Rue was perfect. So was Prim. And Peeta.
- The sets were great. District 12 was just as I imagined it.
- Jennifer Lawrence’s screaming voice is kind of squeaky. Her eyes are pretty though. Still would have liked to see a multiracial actress or an actress of color get the role.
- Very faithful to the book. Though I thought the nuance of the Peeta/Katniss relationship was lost, I guess...
